Hot pepper fans take note! We have had what we consider a hot hungarian wax pepper crop failure this season. They don’t seem to like the cooler, wet weather. We do have some peppers, but not the abundance we usually enjoy. So … this is the last week that the peppers will automatically be included in your orders. We are assuming that not everyone is crazy about them. If you are though, you are most welcome to receive one in the next few orders. Just let us know that you would like one. There is no extra charge for the peppers, we just don’t want to send them to people who are not that interested in them!
This week’s order is looking a lot like last week’s: potatoes, carrots, beets, onions (bulb and bunching), yellow beans, zucchini, cukes (Straight 8s), chard, kale, basil, parsley, celery, hot pepper, tomatoes, and corn (2 varieties — Simonet and Double Standard).
Our zucchini seems to be taking a break in the wet weather, so you will notice you are not receiving as much as you had been. Hopefully it will pick up again soon! And this will likely be the last week for beans, so enjoy them wholeheartedly!!
